Nothing better than a little playtime.....and scrapping fun LO's!

Made this sweet simple LO using BoBunny's On the Go:

Here is a close up of some of the details:

Sweet and simple....but super fun!  Used a little Distress Ink
in Black Soot and twine from my stash to finish it off.

Oh so many projects to post and oh so little time....lol.
After a month of company (DS home from college and
his friends and my mom too!) I'm starting to get back
into the groove here!  I thought I'd share a LO I did
for Hannah's Home Accents....yes, it's a kit for sale
over there....and it was my first time using straws.

This is made with the new BoBunny MamaRazzi 2 paper
and the 3 D sticker collection.  LOVE!!

Thanks for stopping by today....a little G45 French Country
mini will be sneaking in over the next few days, so stay tuned!

Mixed Media Fun....

Thought I'd share what I created today at an awesome mixed
media class at a store called Linnie Blooms.

Was a great time, and Linda Barutha was a great teacher!

Played with Faber-Castell Gelatos, brush markers,
and Claudine Hellmuth foam stamps to make this canvas bag.

A huge THANK YOU to Linda for the great class, and
to Kimberly Congdon for putting it all together!  Thanks
for a great day gals!

Kickin' Back in St. Paddy's Pub....

Being Irish, I am a HUGE fan of St. Patrick's Day, of course!
This year, I wanted to create something to show my love
of the holiday of my heritage, and really let loose and
have a great time playing with inks, paints and glue!

And so, St. Paddy's Pub was born.....

There is an absolutely stunning line up of Tim Holtz Idea-Ology
products, Ranger and Maya Rd. products on this labor of love,
and I also used one of my favorite stamps from The Rubber Cafe.

Here are some of the details:
Lost & Found Paper pad (all background papers, and March calendar....
which is distressed with Tonic Distress tool), Cash Keys (charm on the
calendar with shamrock sticker inside),Clock Keys (lantern "hanger"),
Corked Vials (small glass jars in small cubby--they are colored with
Adirondack alcohol inks in Meadow and Sunshine), Game Pieces
(bingo #17 in red), Plaquettes (porcelain looking #17), Tinsel Twine
around the small cubbies, Ornate Plates (in lower cubby with
Ruler Ribbon inside), Locket Keys (metal piece on Pub Sign under
shamrock),  Ruler Ribbon (inside ornate plate), Memo Pins (stuck
into wooden spools lower right cubby) and Hanger Clips (holds
small piece of burlap with shamrock sticker in lower cubby),
Salvage Stickers--Crowded Attic (label on mini vial), Woodlands
Miniatures tree (dyed with re-inker/water in a mini mister and
accented with a Paper Twine bow), and the Mini Lantern
hangs from the clock key....yes it lights up....the battery pack
is attached to the back in a pocket I made to hold it.
Distressing done with Walnut Stain and Black Soot Ink, and
Tiny Attacher staples hold the calendar in place.  Core d'nations
Cardstock covered the outside of the box (embossed and sanded).
And lastly, Tissue Tape wrapped around toothpicks makes the flag pole.

Here are a few close ups:

The PUB is from the Lost and Found paper pad,
glued to chipboard, sanded and inked with Black Soot,
then coated with Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint.
 Recycled corks come in handy.....lol.....

Love those little Woodlands Miniatures trees!

Ye Olde Lantern....lit up....welcome to the pub!

Sign detail shot....of that Celtic Rosette Stamp from The Rubber Cafe!

Maya Rd. stick pins, and mini spools--twined up and dyed
up using Peeled Paint Distress Stains.  The box was painted
with Adirondack Paint Dauber in Lettuce.

And one last shot of the finished project:

Thanks for stoppin' by the blog today for a little bit of Irish hospitality!
Be inspired to get out those paints, inks and stamps and play today!

Officially Official....

It's official.....no turning back now.....lol.  My intro post is
up over at The Rubber Cafe today!  You can pop over
and see it HERE.  Would love if you'd come by and
say hi!!  And I'll share a couple of the projects I posted
over there too:

This one is an Easter Mini made with the new
Authentique Hope collection and a few goodies

And this one is the beginning of a mini for my little
"addiction".....beat only by my love for crafting....lol.

This is an inky mixed media frenzy....lol....I used a Studio Calico
stencil, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Suede), Adirondack
Paint Dauber around the edges, and on the corrugated piece behind the
coffee cup (Espresso is the color....of course), Black Soot Distress Ink,
Walnut Stain Distress Ink to stamp the "Curled Mug" stamp from
The Rubber Cafe (one of my faves!), Faber Castell Gelatos (Red and
Black) to color in the canvas heart, and the Tonic Distress tool to
tatter the edges.  Topped off with Want2Scrap bling, AC Thickers, and burlap.
WHEW!!  This was fun!.....lol.  Can't wait to make the other pages!

So thanks for stopping by....and please remember to stop by
The Rubber Cafe.....if you haven't check them out....lots of
inspiration and fun stamps, products, and their Scrap Happy
glue is amazing!  Great for mixed media like the mini!!
